Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. The early slow style in the sixties from where everything started was danced only closed, like the Bolero. Modern Style was developed probably from around 2005 on the 'Traditional' Style base. At the same time as the Modern Style was developed there was also developed an another style called Bachatango/Bachata Tango
